A Random Quickie....

Ok, for real people! We have heard from some of our devoted readers that we haven't been blogging enough, or that our posts have been a little bit farther apart then most people would like. See the thing is, it's been a little bit busy with this whole moving across the pond thing. However, in all honestly, we didn't realize that we had such a strong "following" and appreciate all the support.
First off, as of tomorrow we won't have the internet, other then at work, for probably the next 2 or 3 weeks, so communication is going to be limited for us! :(
Now, onto the random "bits" (they like to say that a lot).
Things here are always "posh" and "fab." Z is not the last letter of the alphabet, but ZED is... also, "G" is not the letter before "H," it's the letter GRR. And it's not "H" it's hatche, with a long A. You have good "bits" and bad "bits" and sometimes things can be a bit "dodgy." Always remember to say "Cheers" cause it means hi, bye, thanks, really whatever you want it to be. And don't forget the word from our friends down under, "mate." We got a parking ticket and it cost us 35 "quid" and it's not 5 cents, it's 5 "p" (pence). We love biscuits. "Biscuits" are cookies, yet they still have cookies that are a specific type of biscuit?...who does that? Fries are "chips", and chips are "crisps"! A grocery cart is a "dolly." Oh, and someone asked me the other day..."what language do you speak?" I froze...they proceeded to tell me that I speak "ENGLISH" not "AMERICAN"...so get it right!!! Don't worry Mom, tea always comes with milk so you don't have to ask! The dividing line between lanes on a one-way and two-way street are the same, which makes for an interesting driving experience. "Humps" are speed bumps.
Everyone eats BACON ROLLS for breakfast, which is FAB in my book! And they call American bacon "streaky bacon" and they don't serve it here!
Politics...I know, Eric suggested that I go here. So, here's the short and sweet. They don't like Bush, McCain or Palin, so Republicans, you're out, Democrats we're in! BUT, the media here is still fairly unbiased. The economy crisis is all over the news here, just like it is in "the states." Oh, yes, they call it "the states." Usually not the U.S. or America, it's "the states."
Number 1 song of the week was "Your sex is on Fire" by "Kings of Leon." Put it on your Ipod (seriously)! Oh, and the song "I kissed a girl" is at the top of the list here too. BBC Radio 1 (not only news) is Eric's station of choice while driving, you can listen online if you like. Good music, talk, news, and NO commercials! OH, everyone wears skinny jeans, so there is a shopping trip in our future for me. Pants are trousers, and men's underwear are pants! Worst of all...they don't have CREST w/Scope!! Eric is dying for some of that. You know that saying "tomato, tomato. potato, potato" but nobody in the U.S. actually says it the latter way so the saying has never made much sense. Well here people say it the other way.

Well, it's "half 10" here (not 10:30) so we're going to bed!
